6th IME 2016 “International Mining, Exploration, Mineral Processing Technology, Metals & Machinery Exhibition”

Brief Show Report

The recently concluded, 6th IME 2016 “International Mining, Exploration, Mineral Processing Technology, Metals & Machinery Exhibition” (concurrent with 6th Asian Mining Congress), organised during February 24-27, 2016, was a grand success, as informed by Exhibitors, Visitors, Delegates and VVIPs.

The institutionalized event has been envisaged as a catalyst for the development of Mining, Mineral, Metal and allied sectors in India. This prestigious biennial international event of the sector, is one of the largest show of its kind in this part of the world. It is an ideal platform for the global Mining, Mineral and Metal producers, and other stakeholders of this industry to congregate, display products, exchange technology, negotiate business for mutual business development.

The event was inaugurated by Hon'ble Mr. Anil Swarup, Secretary, Ministry of Coal, Govt. of India on February 24, 2016 with the traditional lighting of the Lamp. Other eminent dignitaries present on the occasion included, H.E. Mr. Radoslaw Domagalski-Labedzki, Dy. Minister of development, Republic of Poland, H.E. Mr. Tim Martin, Trade Commissioner, Australian High Commission in India, Hon'ble Mr. S. Bhattacharya, Chairman, Coal India Ltd, Mr. A.N. Sahay, President, MGMI, Mr. Avijit Ghosh, CMD, Heavy Engineering Corp. Ltd. and Mr. I.P. Wadhwa, Managing Worker, Tafcon.

Hon'ble Mr. Balvinder Singh, Secretary, Ministry of Mines, Govt. of India also visited the exhibition and interacted with major Indian and foreign participants.

High level delegations from Poland, Czech Republic, Australia and many other countries also visited this important event.

Concurrently "Buyer Seller Meet" was organised with presentations from Stakeholders namely Coal India, Neyveli Lignite, NMDC, Mahanadi Coal Ltd. etc. It received very enthusiastic response from overseas and India.
