Реферат | The sources of dust emission in rolling mills were examined. It is shown that the operations following cooling of rolled metal such as cutting, ultrasonic inspection, cleaning and storage, are the most powerful of them. The properties of dust generated at the facility of ultrasonic testing of rolled metal are specifi ed. Chemical and dispersed dust analysis forming at the ultrasonic control area in the conditions of sheet rolling shop No. 3 at «Severstal» metallurgical works in Cherepovets is conducted via the method of spectral analysis. It was found out that this dust consists of Fe2O3 and Fe3O4 oxides. The equations to calculate the power of emission and specific dust formation perton of rolled metal are proposed. The sources of dust formation in rolling shops are characterized and classified. It is shown that the formation of dust in the rolling mills depends on the method of metal cooling. Water cooling increases corrosion of the surface of rolled metal by 25% and also increases dust formation during all subsequent operations. It is concluded that amount of forming dust have to depend on metal oxidation rate, type of oxidant and duration of its effect on metal. |
