This paper presents the results of a study of the material composition, physical, hydrophysical, and physico-mechanical properties of ore from a gold ore deposit. The properties of the ore in the processes of agitation and percolation leaching were studied. A preliminary assessment test was carried out using a gravity flotation process with cyanidation of the products obtained, as well as studies on the sorption activity of the ore, gold recovery from pregnant solutions, and neutralization of heap leaching tailings. It has been established that, in terms of its chemical composition, the ore is composed of calcium, aluminum, and silicon oxides to over 60 %. The content of such harmful impurities as arsenic and antimony is insignificant. The total mass fraction of non-ferrous metals (Zn, Cu, Pb) does not exceed 0.073 %. The ore sample is rated as low-sulfide in terms of the content of sulfides (sulfide sulfur of 0.35 %) and as sulfide ore by the degree of oxidation. Studies have established that the ore of the deposit is suitable for processing by the method of agitated cyanidation. Gold recovery is 95.99 % at the gold grain size of 95 % class –0.071 mm with the cyanide concentration of 0.05 %. The total consumption is 0.75 kg/t for cyanide and around 1.5 kg/ for lime. An increase in material fineness to –2 mm results in a sharp drop in gold recovery by 21.41 %.
