Abstract

The urgency and validity of creation of manufacture for conversion of weapon highly enriched uranium in hexafluoride of energetic uranium which meets the requirements of sanitary norms are shown. The technological three-phase chain of producing enrgetic uranium hexafluoride is described. The scheme of installation and the base equipment are considered attentively. The apparatus of a screw reactor of fluorination with air system of heating-cooling of the framework is briefly described. For filtration of the gases leaving the reactor, the filter is used with ceramic-metal multilayered filter-cartridges. For desublimation of enriched uranium hexafluoride two types of desublimators — a volumetric one and that with a warm external wall have been developed and examined. The created installation and the equipment have allowed manufacturing of energetic uranium hexafluoride, that completely meets the established requirements and that was made a special mention of by the
Russian Federal authorities.
