Gornyi Zhurnal
The 9-th issue of Gornyi Zhurnal (Mining Journal) (September, 2014) contains the articles, devoted to the 85-th anniversary of JSC “Uralmekhanobr”. There is described the biography of M. F. Ortin – the founder of mineral concentration school and Uralmekhanobr Institute. There is shown the role of the Institute in scientific developments, connected with modernization of process and technology of concentration and increasing of products quality. The basic directions of activities in this sphere are analyzed.
Ural State Mining University (the first university of Ural) celebrates its 100-th anniversary this year. Development of scientific researches within scientific schools and university chairs is one of the most urgent tasks of the university on the strategy realization in the area of development of science and scientific potential. This issue includes the results of scientific-research works, carried out by the university members.
The rest of articles are included in traditional sections of the journal. The published materials give the results of researches in the area of deposits development, processing and complex use of minerals, economics and organization of production, ecology etc.
