The second issue of the Chernye Metally journal contains its traditional sections.

It is opened by the steel production section, which presents a new planning mode at the enterprise enabling to improve the observance of the delivery dates of finished products, as well as the technological indicators of vacuum units and the assessment of possible trends in steel production.

The authors from G. I. Nosov MSTU present the results of the effect of niobium alloying on the properties of cast irons of the Cr – Mn – Ni – Ti system.

Two more publications of domestic authors are devoted to foundry production, regarding the environmental safety of the foundry, as well as the manufacturability of slag forming mixtures when casting steel in a caster.

The section rolling and other processes for metal deformation forming contains works on topical issues, including: the influence of the method of processing small-section rolled silica-manganese steel on the quality of scale removal, a new modular-combined method of producing steel wire by drawing through roller and monolithic dies, the effect of the scale factor on the state of strain of deformation zone metal layers during wire drawing and others.

The development of electric drive systems and the role of steel in the electrification of automobiles is the subject of a publication of a Tata Steel representative in the energy and ecology section.

Authors of the publication in the economics and finance section consider the impact of anti-dumping duties on individual subjects and sectors of the state economy.
