Gornyi Zhurnal
The scope of October 2021 issue of Gornyi Zhurnal encompasses various topics of science.
The issue opens with a selection file to commemorate the 55th anniversary of Mayak Mine which is the largest mining project of NorNickel’s Polar Division. The articles describe history of the Mine, including modification and digitalization of mining operations, and show new trends in expansion and enlargement of mineral resources and reserves at NorNickel’s Polar Division and Mayak Mine. The advanced approaches to surveying are presented. The novel digitalization technologies and rock mass quality assessment techniques are discussed. The recent mining engineering solutions are presented as the case-studies of the Talnakh, Oktyabrsky and Norilsk-1 deposits.
We believe the articles about enhanced efficiency and yield of oil and gas wells, production of high-quality iron concentrates by combined magnetic/gravity separation, use of kinetic energy of air jets on mine ventilation at energy- and resource-saving can be of interest to our readers, alongside with the other useful materials in this issue.
