Gornyi Zhurnal
The November 2021 issue of Gornyi Zhurnal is meant to honor the memory of Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Leonid A. Vaisberg — a scientist and engineer, a prominent new-day science-driven production manager, and a greatly gifted individual of the immense knowledge and interest. For many years, L. A. Vaisberg had been the Chair of the Board of Gornyi Zhurnal.
This issues presents articles related to the name of Academician L. A. Vaisberg and his focus of interest. The authors of these articles are either his research colleagues, or carried out investigations under his scientific supervision, or worked together with him for many years. The issue also contains contributions from universities where Leonid A. Vaisberg was an honorary professor.
The issue opens with the articles by Academician A. D. Gvishiani, Research Supervisor at the Geophysical Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and by the Rector of NUST MISIS A. A. Chernikova.
The rest of the articles belong to such regular sections as Mineralogy: Latest Research, Ore Pretreatment and Processing and Processing and Complex Usage of Mineral Raw Materials.
All in all, this issue of Gornyi Zhurnal provides a broad and full-scale picture of the protean scientific work of Academician Leoni. A. Vaisberg, and opens new research routes for his colleagues and disciples.
