Chernye Metally
The "Chernye metally" journal No. 12-2021 has been published, which is mainly devoted to the iron and steel production processes, as well as foundry production.
The journal`s issue is headed by the “Pig iron production” section, which presents articles devoted to studies of the blast-furnace process using reducing blast additives in the conditions of the Novolipetsk Iron and Steel Works, considers rational technological solutions for the production of pig iron in blast furnaces of the Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works, recommends an effective way to reduce heat losses in air-cooled tuyere of a blast furnace, as well as a method for a comprehensive analysis of the yield and strength of the sinter based on a mathematical programming model.
The next section “Steel production and foundry production” mainly presents the publications of specialists from the Nosov Magnitogorsk State Technical University, telling about solving the issue of mastering hydrogen as a reducing agent and involving off-balance complex and technogenic raw materials in metallurgical production and about improving the technology of vacuum processing of wheel steel. Other articles in this section tell about the processing of a melt using wire with Ca- and Ba-fillers and its effect on the quality of steel during out-of-furnace processing (Volgograd State Technical University), as well as the development of an effective mixture for thermal insulation of casting heads based on peat mass using glyceroborate (Chuvash State University).
The "Pipe Production" section publishes articles by specialists from NUST MISIS and JSC RusNITI devoted to the development of radial shear rolling, extrusion of pipes from high-chromium 08Kh13N4M1F steel, and the properties of pipes from the TMK-S alloy.
The same issue also presents publications in sections “Coating and Corrosion Protection”, “Certification” and “Economics and Finance”.
