Gornyi Zhurnal
The subject area of the 9-th issue of Gornyi Zhurnal (Mining Journal) (September, 2012) includes the traditional sections.
This issue begins with a collection of papers, devoted to the educational and scientific activity of Belgorod State National Research University (BelSU). BelSU carries out the training of mining profile specialists and holds the large content of scientific and research works in and around the applied mining geology, mine surveying, geomechanics, rock failure, mine aerogasdynamics, geoinformatics, geoecology, etc.
In addition, this issue considers the problems of the tax legislation improvement in the taxation on the mineral extraction. There is presented the survey of publications about the open cast development of mineral resources of European Russia. There are analyzed the scientific and technical developments, experimental-industrial and industrial application of the block underground leaching of uranium on a number of Russian and foreign deposits. There are considered the possibilities and commercial application conditions of this technology on uranium deposits of Streltsovskoe ore field. The existing dredge constructions are given, along with the proposition of a new technical underwater mining facility – the roped hydraulic complex, which makes it possible to provide the high-efficiency development of the deep-water deposits. There is considered the possibility of the efficiency increasing of the flotation of oxidized ores of non-ferrous and noble metals by the preliminary metalization of the surface of ore particles. There are presented the results of the experimental-industrial testings of the rubber lining on the processing plants of Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company. There is shown the prospective method of the burial of the cement production wastes (electric precipitator dust and cytrogypsum), realized on the territory of Belgorod region. This method could be also used in other regions, which have the enterprises on the extraction and processing of construction raw materials.
Gornyi Zhurnal gives an information about the forthcoming scientific and technical, and international conferences, symposiums, forums and exhibitions.
From the 15 till the 16-th November 2012, in Saint Petersburg, there will be held the III International Scientific and Practical Conference «Techgormet-21 Century : New Technologies for Mineral Extraction and Processing Control».
From the 24 till the 26-th October 2012, in Moscow, there will be held the VII All-Russian Congress of Geologists, under the aegis of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation, Federal Agency for Subsurface Use and Russian Geological Society. The purpose of this Congress is to consider the range of the most important and actual problems of the geological industry – the foundation of Russian economics.
