Nowadays, service life of mine dump trucks, defined by the most substantiated criteria (minimum of overhead costs per unit, methodology of "Scientific and Technical Center "Gornoye delo" LLC) can be expressed in years, operating time and operation run. However, on the basis of practice, these approaches do not completely describe the changes of mine technical and organizational factors of operation of technological motor transport. Authors offered the fundamentally new criterion of definition of service life of mine dump trucks, expressed through the performed transport operation (accumulative cargo turnover). This criterion takes into account the stress loading of transport process (amount of carried out work in tones for 1 km of operation run (for 1 run, 1 meter hour etc.)). According to this, this criterion shows the residue resource of technics more correctly. More certain definition of discarding time of mine dump trucks with complete use of their residue resource required additional accounting of transport operation value (together with indicator of normative operation run before discarding, defined by the criterion of minimum of overhead costs per unit with accounting of carriage longevity). The value of cumulative cargo turnover for dump trucks Unit Rig MT 3300 DC at Aikhal Mining and Processing Division made up 74.5 mln t·km with operation run of 1.3 mln km. There was made a decision about wider testing of offered standard and its introduction in 2014 at Aikhal Mining and Processing Division ("ALROSA" JSC).
