Реферат | This work considers the results of development of a liquid alloy electromagnetic stirring (EMS) technology for preparation of aluminum alloys in furnaces. As part of study, the EMS unit was improved: its mass and dimension were lowered and the energy efficiency was increased. Moreover, some recommendations on operating modes, increasing the processing efficiency of the mixers and the performance of the furnaces, were issued. The positive technological result of the project was achieved due to the new technical solutions for the side and bottom EMS modes, selected not by the furnace dimension size, but by the working gap width. The practical improvements were introduced after a thorough analysis and summarizing of computational modeling results, received with the help of ANSYS software for non-stationary magnetohydrodynamic processes for the developed method of obtaining of high-quality aluminum alloys in furnaces and mixers with several coordinated EMS units. A series of linear induction machines with air-cooling, including electromechanical elevators and microcontroller system, was designed for implementation of the mixers on high-capacity furnaces. Mixer power supply is based on a standard three-phase frequency converter for provision of stability in the significantly asymmetric operation regime. The complex includes specially designed equipment and foresees some measures for provision of electromagnetic compatibility with the automatic systems, control and protection systems of the furnace. |
