The report observes state of Russian iron and steel industry and global steel market. Especial attention is paid to CCS (Carbon Capture and Storage) project presented by Emirates Steel company; however, it is concluded that the prospects of realization of this technology in Europe are quite weak owing to negative attitude of public opinion. Comparative analysis of the properties and prospects of steel and aluminium is displayed. International association of steel producers: new board members and new association members.
