The new Coil-Hover automatic coil handling system (with so-called “soaring coil”) has been developed and manufactured by the German company “hpl-Neugnadenfelder Maschinenfabrik GmbH”. It allows to simplify and to accelerate the process of coil handling after strip slitting. As soon as only vacuum or magnetic force have effected on a coil, its transportation from reversible turngate to storehouse area is conducting in rather careful procedure. Completely automatized production makes it possible to cut expenses for personnel: only one operator manages the whole technological line. This system was presented at METEC 2015 for the first time, together with rolling and strip processing equipment.
