The main part of technical innovations is based on the progress in the field of materials and material production technologies. Metals have in this field the decisive role, as usual. E.g., the turnover of the industrial branches based on production of technical materials (with appr. 5 mln. Employees) makes about 1 bln Euro. This success is based on high professional competence of engineers, technicians and high-skilled workers that are working in this area. And their education requires from 2 to 5 years. Program of such education consists mainly of the typical plan for the profession “material test engineer (supervisor) — metal technology”, with emphasize on control methods and material science, as well as on the demand of metal working industry. Quality of education is determined by the following factors: experience of certified inspection center and recognition of the German society of non-destructive testing (DGZfP) as the teaching organization.
