Реферат | The finished stands of hot rolling mills use usually bi-layer rolls made of chromium-nickel cast iron (IDCP — Indefinite-Chill Double Pour). Wear resistance of these rolls can be increased by two methods: introduction of MC carbides in microstructure or graphitization of highstrength steels (HSS) via graphite introduction in the martensite matrix together with MC carbides. Top requirements on the surface quality of the rolled product in earlier or even roughing stands may demand application of Teranit F, that is characterized by low wear combined with high resistance against fire cracks, very good unsticking properties and excellent surface properties of the product. These characteristics could be proven in further field tests in industry. The developed Teranit F material for work rolls allows to improve surface quality of rolled products as well as operating parameters of the rolls themselves including wear resistance, reliability and impact loading resistance. |
