All-Russian Scientific and Research Institute of Tube Industry (RosNITI) JSC is today the modern high-tech scientific center, a real leader in the Russian tubemaking. It has created during the last 55 years the powerful scientific-technical potential that provides solving the complicated and multidisciplinary scientific and industrial problems and is an important subject in national and international technical regulation. The paper presents the review of the main stages of RosNITI strengthening and development since its establishment in 1961. The basic components of its scientific and technical activities are reflected. This potential includes the following directions: large intellectual capital, respectable scientific school, state-of-the-art scientific and technical base, innovative developments, cooperation links, scientific-technical programs, joint scientific projects, mathematical simulation and testing facilities, modern software, information space and information distribution network. They allow to make a serious input in successes of the Russian tube industry.
