Реферат | The new coating method for lowering scale formation during steel reheating has been developed. This coating is a barrier for oxygen penetration. This method has a chemical nature (Bottom-up-Synthese) and provides definite coating properties, e.g. small layer thickness, high adhesion properties and easiness of coating process. The passed laboratorial experiments have displayed that the developed coating No. 1 is the optimal one to provide temporary protection against high-temperature corrosion. Other investigated coatings also provided retarding of scale formation. The results depend on applied steel grades and such operating conditions as temperature, holding time and composition of furnace atmosphere. Industrial investigations have been conducted at heating temperature 1200 °C and holding time at this temperature 60 min. These conditions were not so strict compared with laboratorial ones, and they displayed homogenization of forming scale. Decrease of scale formation almost by 80 % lowers material intensity. Forming scale is located in more uniform mode along the layer thickness, it is getting more easy to delete it, and this is resulted in decrease of the number of surface defects stipulated by scale formation, and in substantial decrease of tool wear. |
