Реферат

The group “Intermetallic materials” in the Max-Plank Institute for Iron Research (MPIE) develops the new materials on the base of intermetallic phases for applications in the high-temperature conditions and in explosive atmospheres. This research was devoted to Fe–Al alloys that can replace expensive high-alloyed steels. They are characterized by excellent fluidity and smooth surface in cast condition. Fe–Al steels can be subjected to rolling and forging in the same way as chromium (9–12%) steels, as well as to the new additive technologies (such as Selective Laser Melting or Laser Metal Deposition). Fe–Al products can be widely used in the automotive industry.
