The review of the technical information concerning problem of a choice of functional area angle on the stress state in the deformation zone at copper drawing is realized. It is established that various criteria of optimization (energopower parametres, texture formation, product strength) lead to the set of various angle values of the drawing tool. Decrease in an angle of dip of drawing generator leads to formation of softer scheme of strass state that reduces probability of occurrence of cohesional failure.
