The use of a risk-based approach in occupational safety management is currently becoming increasingly relevant, since in any industry there are dangerous and harmful factors that affect the risk of injury and occupational morbidity. In the presence of a variety of methods for assessing occupational risk, there is no one that would be uniquely applicable to all industries with a wide range of harmful production factors. This article presents a methodology for assessing occupational risk, consisting of the risk of injury and the risk of getting an occupational disease, taking into account the combined action of a complex of factors. The assessment of both types of risk is based on the results of a special assessment of working conditions. To clarify the place of this technique among similar ones, their classification and brief description are given; the advantages and disadvantages of the considered techniques are shown. To assess the risk of injury, a matrix method based on the assessment of the probability of a dangerous event and its consequences was used. For its implementation, the type of danger, the probability of occurrence and damage (severity of consequences) are determined from this danger. A method for assessing the qualitative and quantitative characteristics of the risk of injury is shown. The next step of the proposed methodology is to determine the a posteriori risk of occupational disease, taking into account the combined effect of a complex of harmful factors of the production environment. To do this, we use a technique developed at the Department of Technosphere Safety at NUST MISIS, which allows us to assess the qualitative and quantitative characteristics of the risk of getting an occupational disease under the combined action of factors of the production environment. The advantages of the proposed technique are given.
