The article considers the problem of reliability of the drive of the four-roll crusher DCHG 900×700, used in agglomeration production to prepare solid fuels for the agglomeration process. During the operation of the crusher, dynamic loads arise, arising under the influence of unbalanced forces and moments that negatively affect the performance and service life of individual parts and components of the equipment. The authors substantiate that the existing gear couplings used in the drive of the crushing machine do not have sufficient damping properties, which leads to their rapid wear and the need for frequent repairs. As a solution, it is proposed to use a pin coupling with an elastic disc-type element, which is capable of fully damping dynamic loads and transmitting the necessary torque. Using the finite element method, strength calculations were performed in the SolidWorks software package, which confirm that the proposed coupling significantly reduces vibrations and increases the service life of the drive elements. The simulation results showed that the minimum load factor at which failure occurs is 1.88, which indicates a high reliability of the structure. Industrial tests have shown that the use of a pin coupling with an elastic disc-type element in the crusher drive leads to an increase in the service life of components and parts by an average of 1.24 times compared with gear couplings. There is also a decrease in the roll misalignment (the drive side is relatively idle) by 4.68 times from 0.89 mm to 0.19 mm. This confirms the effectiveness of the proposed solution and its positive impact on the operational characteristics of the crusher. It was found that in a drive with a pin coupling with an elastic disc-type element, the content of a fine fraction - 0,5 mm decreased by 9.0 %, and the content of a coarse fraction + 3.0 mm decreased by 34.5 %. Thus, the article represents an important contribution to the study of equipment reliability under dynamic loads, which offers a practical solution to improve the durability and reliability of the roller crusher drive and the efficiency of the grinding process.
