In the cost of pig iron produced by JSC “Ural Steel“, the cost of coke is 33 %, in connection with which the aim of the study was to find the optimal measures for the conditions of the blast furnace shop of the enterprise, allowing to reduce the specific consumption of coke in blast furnaces and increase their productivity. As a result of the analysis of scientific literature and technical reports on the coke and chemical production, agglomeration and blast furnace shops of the enterprise, the following were selected as priority measures to achieve the set goal: optimization of the particle size distribution of coke and increase in the efficiency of its screening; optimization of the particle size distribution of agglomerate and increase in the efficiency of its screening; increase in the consumption of charge materials with a high iron content; increase in the blast temperature; replacement of the double-cone loading device with a bell-less one; installation of a throttle-type air flow control system on the nozzle of the blast furnace tuyere device; use of solid copper tuyeres; optimization of the blast furnace gas-blowing mode. The economic efficiency of implementing the specified measures to reduce the specific coke consumption in the blast furnace shop of JSC “Ural Steel“ has been calculated. Students M. A. Vishnevsky, A. O. Zroychikova, K. A. Komerenko, M. I. Machnev, I. M. Novikov, I. A. Rodionov took part in the work. |
