Information is provided on the experience of developing and operating radioisotopedevices manufactured by JSC Soyuztsvetmetavtomatika at enterprises of various industries of the Russian Federation and foreign countries. The principle of operation of the RP-24, RP-25 radioisotope converters and the RRP-7  relay devices is described, based on measuring the density of controlled materials by the law of gamma radiation attenuation by various media and materials. The advantages of using radioisotope devices for non-contact measurement of toxic and aggressive media are presented. Possible applications of ionizing radiation sources based on isotopes of various chemical elements (Cs-137, Na-22, Eu-152 and Am-241) are considered. The results of succes sful implementation of devices at enterprises of non-ferrous metallurgy, mining, chemical and pulp and paper industries, including PJSC Uralkali, JSC Apatit and others are presented. Using the RP-24 radioisotope converter as an example, options for upgrading devices at the request of operating organizations are presented. The application of modern organic scintillation detectors in operation in difficult operating conditions, such as in the presence of shock and increased vibration, is described. An example of import substitution of products from unfriendly countries is shown: the replacement of a radioisotope densitometer manufactured by Berthold Technologies GmbH & Co. KG, used in the production of chipboard at Dyatkovo-DOZ LLC. The importance of radioisotope devices for automating production processes, increasing safety and reducing operating costs is emphasized.
