The article substantiates the parameters of a mixed-type heading flowsheet for permanent roadways under conditions of construction of Mine No. 6, PIMCU PJSC at the Argunskoe and Zherlovoe deposits. The challenging geological conditions, as well as the need to accelerate the mine start-up have necessitated a search for an alternative technology relative to the rail-bound tunneling method adopted at the mine. The mine planning and design included the analysis of two heading scenarios: traditional rail-bound heading; mixed-type flowsheet, with self-propelled equipment operation in the face area and with construction of load/reload stations for the further rail-bound haulage. The flowsheet with operation of self-propelled equipment in the face area and with rock loading to track haulage at the special transfer points is studied. The key design parameter—the spacing between the transfer stations—is optimized by the criteria of maximized rate of heading advance and minimized operating costThe multi-criteria analysis (aggregate index and Pareto-optimal solutions) shows that the spacing of 300 m best meets the project priorities. The mixedtype flowsheet of heading with this spacing provides a twofold increase in the heading advance rate and reduces the overall mine construction schedule by seven months without any significant increase in cost.
