During planning of production activity of aluminum plant, necessary (optimal) full repair scope of electrolyzers can be predicted after estimation of designated period of durability of electrolyzers, which will be achieved at the plant in forthcoming year. Estimation of planned durability will be correct if balanced tactics of shutdown of electrolyzers for the full repair scope is carried out gradually in the plants. Balanced tactics is a method which realization isn’t accompanied by reduction of average durability of shutdown baths, average durability of operating electrolyzers, part of “old” cathodes in the electrolyzers park on the plant at the end of every year.
