The history of Siberian State Industrial University, the oldest and largest high school in Kemerovo region, is observed. The main directions of education and scientific research in the fields of power efficient mining-metallurgical technologies and equipment, complex processing of wastes and man-caused deposits and development of integrated systems of informatization and automation for control of the objects of mining-metallurgical complex are described.
