Directions and steps of researches in order to substantiate technologies and parameters of drilling and blasting operations in the boundary zones have been explicated as a part of the concept of development of the quarry of Kovdorsky mining and concentrating plant until depth more than 800 m. The results of researches has been implemented in the practice of drilling and blasting operations and accepted in the project of building of the superdeep quarry (Giproruda, 2003).
