Historical review of the development of the chairs and main scientific schools at the faculty of mining technologies and transport of Magnitogorsk State Technical University is presented. The input of scientists of the faculty in solving the fundamental and applied problems is noted. Strong creative relations between the faculty of mining technologies and transport and mining-concentrating and mining-metallurgical works provide development of scientific schools at the faculty.
