The paper describes establishment, successful functioning, problems and projects of further development of goldextraction enterprise as Kumptor Operating Company in Kyrgyz. The enterprise has been established for exploration of Kumptor ore-bearing deposit, located in sophisticated natural climatic conditions of high-mountain. Kumptor Operating Company has built mining and concentrating complex (quarry and gold-extraction plant) in record short time and demonstrate stable growth dynamics of volume of mining works. Advanced, known in world practice of mining work equipment for drilling, loading-transportation works, and etc. and also effective types of blasting materials and technology of mining works have been used in “Kumtor” quarry. Automated system of control for loadingtransportation complex on the base of GPS satellite system and modern information technology, and automated system of monitoring of quarry edge stability in dangerous areas, such as zones of ice-flow and stained ore displacement have been developed. Intensive geological prospecting works, realized by company efforts, allow to essentially increase ore resources and reconsider quarry boundaries on this base, increase its life-time and develop project of subquarry resources opening and its exploration with underground method.
