Реферат

Using high resolution transmission electron microscopy and x−ray photoelectron and infrared spectroscopy we examined nanosized silicon powders obtained by plasma synthesis under different technological conditions. It was shown that the powders consist of spherical particles with average sizes ranging from 20 to 30 nm. Each particle includes a core of single−crystal silicon and amorphous shell, which is determined by the chemical composition of silicon bonds with oxygen and hydrogen. The photoluminescence (PL) measurements revealed a weak PL in the near−IR range in powder samples and more intense emission of 420 nm in a suspension of powder in ethanol. The nature of this radiation is not completely identified.
