Реферат | Currently, the most widespread small mining companies in the Karelian Republic, which develop non-metallic minerals, use commonly opencast methods. This kind of deposits development has always been associated with the presence of a number of difficulties, one of which is a complicated geological structure of the area. Creation of an information model gives an opportunity to evaluate the deposit by revealing the geometry and the volume of deposits, as well as the heterogeneity of the distribution of minerals. This article describes the examples of geological risks prediction for Karelian non-metallic mineral deposits. This prediction is based on the creation of informational models using integrated geological and geophysical data for both bedrock and quaternary sediments. Several techniques create the data models for each case. There are described various factors which affect to production process and possible ways to detect them in the exploration stage. Using such an approach is not strictly necessary, but due to the regularization modeling of the extraction process, it is possible to be done on the basis of the geological structure (including both static and dynamic parameters). As a result, the new level of geological risks assessment is possible on the non-metallic mineral deposits (mainly construction materials), which will undoubtedly affect the efficiency of the mining enterprise in the process of its development. The prediction of geological risks, which are associated with the structural features of the prospective objects, is possible with using the information models based on geological and geophysical data. This approach will reduce costs by making the pre-planning and selection of the best way to development of a deposit. |
