The Republic of Karelia has a high potential of mining industry development. That is defined both by a geological structure of the territory, and by gradually developing transport infrastructure. However, currently, the development of mining industry can't occur without its influence on environment and on health of population. It is necessary to consider all types of anthropogenous impact on environment components in a complex for carrying out a geoecological assessment with the subsequent monitoring. The basis of the Russian system of an ecological assessment is made by ecological examination and by an assessment of impact on environment.

The negative change of chemical parameters of ecosystem and geosystem components is the most dangerous for environment and for health of population. Therefore, with an assessment of influence of the enterprise on environment, the main emphasis should become on the pollution analysis. It is necessary to give a close attention on geodynamic and geophysical characteristics of influence.

The assessment of impact on environment should be based on the real data, which is confirmed by geoecological researches. Results of the analysis of environment components` standards allow giving the authentic scientifically reasonable forecasts for development of monitoring complex system of non-metallic mining complexes. Also, these results will be probably applied at the creation of bills and adoption of administrative decisions in the field of environment.
