This article tells about the creation and development of transport and repair services on Lomonosov ore-dressing and processing enterprise. By 2005, the motor transport park contained for about 60 automobiles. There were created two transport subdivisions: administration of mechanization and transport on Lomonosov ore-dressing and processing enterprise and motorcade of general-purpose transport in Arkhangelsk.
The repair service was created on the industrial area of the administration of the constructed open pit. The basic service membership has been formed during 8 years. Members are mechanical engineers – the graduates from Arkhangelsk universities. An experience of exploitation, technical service and maintenance of foreign mining transport equipment is obtained due to the service engineers of the supplier firms. These engineers have been on the place of the technics` operation during all warranty period. With increasing of quantities of overburden and mining operations, there was made a decision of exploitation of heavy dump trucks and greater dimension type excavators on the stage of a transfer from experimental and industrial area to the industrial development of a deposit.
According to the tender results, the Zeppelin Rusland LLC – official dealer of Caterpillar – was chosen as a provider of mining transport and ancillary equipment.
CAT-777D automobiles with 91 tones carrying capacity were chosen as more optimal models of mine dump trucks. According to the work of 2011, there was noted a trend of efficiency increase, greater than twice.
