An accelerating strategy of scientific and technological progress of the coal industry is necessary to increase the profitability of Russian mines. In this regard, there was held the measuring to analyze the operation of breakage faces, which were fitted with Russian and foreign made equipment. At the beginning of 2011, 137 breakage faces were set in operation. 53 of them were fitted with the foreign made complexes. These were genegally the complexes of Ukrainian, Polish, German and USA firms. The foreign made equipment is widely used in cutter-loaders park (80,6%). At the stage of the efficiency analysis of using the mobile mechanized complexes, there was performed the analysis of factual information about the presence of Russian and foreign linings in operation for the period from 2000 to 2010 and its relationship in dynamics. Dynamics analysis of the share of foreign made cutter loaders showed a steady increase of the foreign made cutter loaders share. Comparative analysis of the technical level and usage efficiency of Russian and foreign made face conveyors showed a significant lag of Russian operating and projected face conveyors, from upper indices of foreign made cars. Because of the low reliability of Russian face conveyors, the unit costs of their exploitation are 1.6 times higher in comparison with the conveyors of German and USA leading companies.
