Gornyi Zhurnal
The articles of this issueare distributed on traditional sections. The article by K. N. Trubetskoy, the member of the editorial board of “Gornyi Zhurnal” (Mining Journal) opens the issue and describes prospects of development of open pit mining operations, namely creation of completely automated production on the basis of high-tech innovative developments in the field of telecommunication, navigation, radiophysics, biotechnologies.
The section “From the operational experience of the mining companies and the organizations” includes 5 articles by the specialists of Tashkent State Technical University, which consider share some problems of geodynamic systematization of geological and industrial variety of the largest mine deposits field of Uzbekistan and the modern technologies allowing to increase significantly energy efficiency and ecological safety of coal use in energetics and etc.
The paper by A.P. Volynets, the specialist of the Kirov regional natural history museum, is devoted to Petr Novikov's destiny and oeuvre. P. Novikov has represented in his paintings creation severe beauty of Khibiny Mountains, work of miners and workers and life of Khibiny inhabitant.
Taking into account big merits of “Gornyi Zhurnal” (Mining Journal) in information service of mining and processing production of OJSC ALROSA, the management of the company made the decision to appropriate the name "Gornyi Zhurnal" to the large jeweler diamond (the 50th carat). The photo of this diamond is placed on the first cover page of the issue number.
