Gornyi Zhurnal
The 11-th issue of Gornyi Zhurnal (Mining Journal) (November, 2013) is devoted to the 65-th anniversary of All-Russia Research Institute of Geology and Mineral Resources of the World Ocean — the basic institute of the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russian Federation in the research sphere of geological structure and minerals of the World Ocean's bottom, Arctic, Antarctic and shelf of Russian seas.
This issue includes the articles, which show modern status and urgent problems of geological and geophysical researches in water area of Arctic Ocean. These articles also describe the history of mastering of hydrocarbon resources on Arctic continental shelf; prospects of expansion of mineral-resources base of solid minerals in Russian shelf areas with preliminary estimation of their commercial significance; results of research of minerals on the bottom of deep water areas of the World Ocean and estimation of mineral resource potential of water areas of Russian Far Eastern seas.
