Gornyi Zhurnal
The 5-th issue of "Gornyi Zhurnal” (Mining Journal) (May 2015) includes the article, devoted to the natural-science analysis of crisis process development risks. This article considers the fact that the assessment of risks of development of global systems makes possible to apply the defined natural limitations of energetic consumption and permissible deviations in the development of energetic system of civilization.
The section “Development of Deposits” includes various articles. The strategy of complex mastering of Zhezkazgan deposit by combined physical-technical and physical-chemical geotechnologies is considered. There is shown the influence of the width of working bench surface on the size of maximum possible open-pit's ore productivity. Problems of mining of Kamchatka flash-steam deposits are considered.
The section “Physics of Rocks and Processes” shows the issues of structure, functional possibilities and development prospects of mining-geological information system “GEOMIKS”, developed by VIOGEM institute, considered with assessment of its implementation state in mining industry of Russia and Republic of Kazakhstan.
The section “Mining History. Culture” shows the history of discovery of Kuznetsk coal, considering the alternative view on the discoverers of one of the largest deposits of brown coal.
