Tsvetnye Metally
The subjects of the 12-th issue of "Tsvetnye Metally” (Non-ferrous metals) journal (December, 2015) are traditional.
The article in the item «Benification» shows the sampling methods for dump granulated slag and platinum-palladium concentrate. Peculiarities of problem solving are considered, concerning the control of secondary metal waste composition at Russian enterprises, processing copper-bearing raw materials with accompanying extraction of precious metals.
Another article, published in the same item, tells about the prospects of application of technologies of rock refuse paste ticking for coffin recultivation.
One of the articles of the item «Lignt metals» shows the offered flow sheet of production of technical scandium oxide, based on alkali technology of processing of red mud of Ural Aluminium Plant.
The article by the authors from the Research Center of the JSC «Uralelektromed» tells about the directed creation of the range of sorbents for the purification of industrial waste waters from heavy and non-ferrous metal ions, emulsified oil products, metal organic complex and colloid compounds for deep conditioning of natural waters, and for liquidation of emergency situations, connected with pollution of natural environment with oil products and radionuclides.
The article by A. G. Smirnova, M. V. Tsygankova, I. I. Nikolaeva and G. V. Zimina, published in the item «Rare metals, semiconductors» gives the experimental data about the solubility of phosphates of rare-earth metals (cerium, neodymiun, dysprosium), as well as yttrium, calcium and titanium phosphates in HNO3.
The interest to the use of thallium halides and their compounds with other metal halides as an optical material for special purposes is confirmed by the considerable number of the recently published works. The article by the authors of «Giredmet» institute gives the results of investigation of the dependence of structural perfection of thallium halide crystals on the growing conditions.
The article by A. M. Drits, V. N. Nuzhdin, V. V. Ovchinnikov and A. D. Konyukhov gives the results of investigation of fatigue life of the basic material and welds of 1565ch (1565ч) alloy sheets for the correspondence to the standard, defining the requirements to aluminium alloys, applied as construction materials for railroad cars.
