The 10th issue of “Chernye Metally” journal, 2016 is opened by its conventional sections “Iron and steel news of the world” and “News of the metallurgical companies”.
This issue contains the section “Steel making”, as the previous one. The article by S. Roedl et al. About the new technology of inert gas blowing during ladle treatment, in order to rise its cleanness in the conditions of Siegen plant of Deutsche Edelstahlwerke seems to be most interesting.
However, “Rolling and metal forming” is the mein section in this issue. The problems of optimization of flat and section rolling on the base of intensive alternating deformation have been examined by the specialists of Ural Federal University (A. Bogatov, D. Nukhov, I. Leshchev). Another paper is devoted to technological improvements in hexagonal seamless tube production made of boron-containing steels at Chelyabinsk Pipe Rolling Plant, with participation of researchers from the Moscow Technological University and National University of Science and Technology “MISIS”. V. Peretyatko, S. Smetanin and A. Yuryev have presented the joint investigation of Siberian State Industrial University and EVRAZ Consolidated West-Siberian Metallurgical Plant in the field of tram rail rolling in four-roll passes. S. Schwarz and J. von der Heiden from Friedrich Kocks have observed innovations in production of section steel with SBQ system for size control.
Two technological articles written by the specialists if IVS and St. Petersburg State Mining University were included in the special collection devoted to RIVS-2016 scientific and practical conference. Their themes are improvement of flotation enrichment of hematite ores and hydrometallurgical treatment of zinc-bearing dust in steelmaking production.
The issue also publishes the papers in the sections “Power engineering and Ecology”, “Heating and Heat treatment”, “Steel as Material”. “Economics and Finances”.
