The 12-th issue of “Gornyi Zhurnal” (December 2016) is published.
The article about the mineral resources of the Republic of Dagestan tells about their influence on the social-economic development of the region. There is given an information about the oil and gas complex and hydrothermal resources of the Republic.
The item “Physics of rocks and processes” shows the results of investigation of hazard gas dynamic phenomena during the mining of polymetallic and coal mineral objects.
The item “Deposit mining” tells about theoretical and experimental investigations of the Research Institute of Comprehensive Exploitation of Mineral Resources: searching of new methods of mastering of small vein, deep ore and coal deposits.
Professors V. Galkin and E. Sheshko enlarged their investigations of high-angle conveyors by finding the ways of further increasing of efficiency of this prospective type of conveyor transport.
The conceptual problems of assessment of quality of specialists' training for Russian mining and metallurgical enterprises are considered in the article of the members of the Education and Methodical Union of Russian universities. It is very important for the Association of the industrialists of mining and metallurgical complex of Russia to participate in such assessment.
