Chernye Metally
The third issue of “Chernye metally” journal in 2016 contains its conventional sections - “Iron and steel news of the world”, “Steel as material” and “Economics and finances”.
The section “Ironmaking” includes the paper describing experience of putting into practice and operation of plate coolers at the blast furnace A of Salzgitter Flachstahl. The section “Steelmaking” contains the article prepared by the specialists of several German companies with analysis of the properties and functionality of well fillers using for sliding gates.
The section “Tubemaking” is devoted to innovations of RosNITI, the leading Russian scientific and technical center in tube manufacturing. Four papers of this section consider mastering of the pipe production technology of high-alloying alloy “TMK-C”; investigation of defects and geometrical precision of tubes in two-pass rolling; improvement of the technology of hollow shell longitudinal rolling in continuous rolling mills; analysis of wall thickness deviation forming between mandrel elongating and extracting sizing mills.
In addition, this issue publishes the materials of researches that have been conducted by the specialists from IEHK Steel Institute of RWTH Aachen in the area of design of new materials (“Steel ab initio” project”), as well as the survey describing the problems of resource-saving in the modern iron and steel undustry.
