Tsvetnye Metally

The questions of the tinny sulfide ores flotation as well as the water-stream magnetic separation of titanomagnetite concentrates are touched on in the BENEFICATION section.

The materials presented in the HEAVY NON-FERROUS METALS section concern with the copper metallurgy: the authors of the articles study kinetics of the copper ferrite dissolution in the aqueous solutions of sulfuric acid and determine the liquidus temperature of high-cupriferous slags.

The articles in the LIGHT METALS, CARBON MATERIALS section are dedicated to electrochemical technologies in the aluminium production process. Considered are the combined methods of manufacturing aluminum alloys, the problem of initiation of the cones on anodes and the carbon side blocksoxidation resistance in the course of electrolysis.

The Chair for Plastic Metal Working of the Ural Federal University was established 95 years ago. Publication of three articles in the METAL PROCESSING section is dated for the event. The authors examine the problems of the titanium alloy bar rolling process, angular pressing of magnesium sheet blanks, the features of the zirconium-based alloys tube pressing process.
