Gornyi Zhurnal
The May 2021 issue of Gornyi Zhurnal publishes articles of a specific nature and in commemoration of some anniversary celebrations.
The issue opens with a contribution from AGD Diamonds—one of Russia’s oldest businesses in mineral exploration, mining and processing. The Company celebrates its 90th anniversary this year. Today the Company is one of the most advanced and high-tech mining businesses and worthily ranks high in the world diamond market.
The article of experts from ALROSA’s Yakutniproalmaz Institute and from the Mirny Polytechnic Institute of the North-Eastern Federal University can attract interest. The article describes hydrogeology, geology and gas-dynamics in mineral mining in the territory of Yakutia diamond province.
On its 20th anniversary, Dalur JSC is Russia’s first uranium producer which uses a safe and environmentally sound method—in-situ leaching. The Company fellows describe history, current status, production infrastructure and innovation activities of the uranium producer.
To commemorate the 200th anniversary of Gornyi Zhurnal, the article entitled Oil and Gas Science and Education—History and Role in the Development of the Oil and Gas Industry in Russia narrates on hydrocarbon reservoir development, education in mining engineering and on the role of Gornyi Zhurnal in advancement of mining art.
In honor of the 76th WWII Victory Day, this issue presents the interview with the Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, sculptor K. R. Chernyavsky specializing in military subject, history of Russia and in Eastern Christianity.
The other articles discuss many mining issues of the current concern. The Journal’s team hopes that every reader finds interesting and fruitful information in this issue.
