Gornyi Zhurnal
The December 2021 (No. 12) issue of Gornyi Zhurnal finishes the year of 2021. Its scope encompasses all traditional sections and topics.
It is expected that Journal’s readers pay attention to the study into the upper structure of the sedimentary cover in the Easter Arctic Seas and in the Taymyr Gulf in Russia using various different methods of drilling.
Furthermore, the article on commercial-scale application of heap leaching with preliminary oxidation in refractory gold ore mining may be of interest.
Section Materials and Equipment offers a comprehensive information on the matter. Emphasis is laid on the analysis of the designs and modes of the same-size column flotation cells of four different manufacturers, operating experience of the cells, as well as the technology control and adjustment. The other articles in this Section address wear, reliability and efficiency of drill bits.
Development of anomalous gas pressure in coal seams and prediction of various dynamic hazards are discussed by the members of the Academician Melnikov Institute of Comprehensive Exploitation of Mineral Resources and the Federal Research Center for Coal and Coal Chemistry of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
The issue presents a contribution about the Museum of Natural History established at the Shilo North-Eastern Interdisciplinary Scientific Research Institute of the Far East Branch RAS in 1977. The Museum’s collection includes four large expositions devoted to Stratigraphy, Magmatism and Metamorphism, Minerals and Mineralogy.
