Abstract | Extraction alumina from bauxite form a solid residue — fine mesh depleted red mud. It is not used and is sent to the waste ponds. The relevance of these sludge treatment currently increasing in connection with cases of levee break. Close perspective replacement of its total large-scale storage by processing. This requires the development of appropriate processing technologies, including the finding of relocation of the material for shipment status. The results of the industrial extraction of offshoots of red mud with humidity up to 35–45% of the closed section of slurry pits, dewatering it in open stacks, the ability to transport, dosage and sintering to the sinter strand are shown. Obtained agglomerate is quite good, offering full direct or complex processing of red mud with removing REM. |
