Abstract | The rational sequence of a component set in charge loading into the hopper of the bell-less charging device has been revealed on the base of conducted investigations on the physical model of the compact bell-less charging device of a chute type and of the blast furnace No. 4 at Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works. Location of sinter with the largest consumption on the bottom of the hopper and placement of additives in the middle of the charge provided the highest uniformity of distribution of its components on a throat circle. It allowed to conduct melting with increased gas pressure diff erence, accompanying by increase of CO usage degree and reduction of specifi c coke consumption. |
