The article is dedicated to solution of the problems of the complex improvement of quality of welding wire of the Sv-08G2S grade aimed to weld low- and medium-carbon steel constructions in the atmosphere of protective gas. During the study the quality of pilot lots of the wire rod was analyzed, the process of production of the fi nished wire changed, the welding processing characteristics of the wire tested and positive results of the taken measures are shown.
