Abstract | It is necessary to use the concentration operations, foreseeing the removal of finely dispersed mineral components, for the purpose of increasing of the quality of schungite products, intended for their usage as sorbents and stuffs in resin, varnish-and-paint and other branches of industry. Differential and thermal analysis and X-ray diffraction researches substantiated that structural composition and physical and chemical properties of schungite rocks differ from analogue chemical composition of various samples. The scheme of concentration of schungite rocks, including aeroclassification and acid leaching operations, was developed and substantiated on the basis of the carried out researches. This scheme provides the obtaining of high-quality dispersed schungite concentrates and makes possible to change the nomenclature and productivity on several types of products. There is shown the optimal operating mode of process flowsheet with saving the dry screening efficiency by introduction of the process of two-stage aeroclassification of undersize product in gamma-ray source with release of slime-free schungite product and depleted slime. Results of the carried out technological testings have shown the efficiency of the developed process flowsheet and possibility of obtaining of high-quality schungite concentrates, fitting the highest requirements on weight fraction of iron, sulphur and carbonates. |
