Abstract | There was researched the influence of reduction in the range of 4–26% of copper and brass on the basic mechanical properties of metal in cold rolling of strips on two-roll mill (150240 mm) for technological process improvement. The samples (2.0–2.75 mm thickness, 20 mm wide, 150 mm length) were used as experimental rolling billets. These samples were found from commercial batches of copper and brass, rolled on Kolchuginsky and Kirov non-ferrous metals processing plants. The chemical composition of the samples was determined by X-ray fluorescence spectrometry in laboratories of National University of Science and Technology “MISIS”. A number of experiments was carried out for definition of dependence of the yield stress from swaging and metal hardness. There was developed a new experimental mathematical method for determination of coefficients of equations for calculation of metal deformation resistance during cold rolling (including intermediate stands (passes) in absence of thickness values), and metal deformation resistance in annealed state. There were defined the regression equations and plot connection of strengths, plasticity and hardness of strip rolling, made of M3 copper and LS59-1 and L63 brass. These equations made possible to apply the results of nondestructive quality control of metal in computer-aided design process system of cold rolling of strip and ribbon. |
